*back story- just moved into my new house yippppy yo! but there is all these like dudes coming and going about the kitchen or the landscaping or whatever.
SO mum did that thang where shes like ‘im just guna go drop of your brother, be back in 10, the landscaper guy will be here soon but ill be back before then’ then’ so im like ‘okay l8er sk8r’.
It was noon and I was just arising out of bed like a sea monster. So theres a knock at the door and I run down wearing one sock and my iPood shirt (its got a guy on a toilet listening to an ipod- genious and hilarious, its great, go invest) and I just assumed it was mum so I opened the door and theres this random guy wearing overalls and there was a silence as he just.. took in my aesthetics.
SO THEN I fought the urge to die, and said ‘mum will be home any minute’ and hes like ‘oooh okay’ which was followed by more uncomfortable air, so I say ‘would you like a tea?’ and AS IF he wouldnt just take one for the team and have a freakin tea so I could do something other than just stand in the middle of the house with this guy wearing my iPood shirt and one sock. we basically just stared at each other, and I have never felt quite so awkward in all my life. The conversation, and I use that term loosely, basically got to the point of ‘sooo.. knees huh? preeeetty weird’
Mum got home after 5 mins and I didnt talk to her for the rest of the day.
